At Celtic Clothing every kilt is hand-made at their premises in Stornoway by their team of professional tailors. The creation of these high quality garments is overseen by master kiltmaker and co-owner of the business, Kathleen. Celtic Clothing refuse to utilise the mass production methods seen in the mainstream market, preferring the more personal and human touch of a traditional hand-stitched kilt, individually cut and sewn. "A kilt is not an everyday purchase. It's special. It identifies the wearer's roots and is worn with pride. It's only right that it should be made with pride". This is Celtic Clothing's philosophy and it permeates throughout the kilt shop.
