By
simply substituting the Prince Charlie Coatee and Vest
for an Argyll jacket in Barathea, or Harris Tweed, and
adding a belt, your outfit can be worn at dinner parties
or other social functions where you would otherwise wear
that boring lounge suit or tuxedo.
Kathleen's husband, Robert, is a master weaver of Harris
Tweed and hand weaves all the cloth for these jackets.
Because of this unique situation, Robert is able to weave
the cloth in darker shades specially to complement the
Modern Tartans of today, thus ensuring that the outfit
blends perfectly.

You
could if you like, also change the sporran for a semi-dress
one similar to the one Robert is wearing in the picture.
The Argyll jackets are hand tailored and cost £185.
A matching waistcoat can be made for £75, in which
case there is no need for a belt to be worn.
Occasions for wearing a kilt do not stop at posh gatherings!
By just changing your shirt, tie and socks, then donning
a leather sporran, you are ready for the Highland Games,
or a day on the Scottish moors.
For those who prefer the Ancient or Hunting tartans, we
have Harris Tweed jackets available in shades that go
perfectly with these tartans. |
